The First Thousand New Energy Vehicles in China's CSR Times

On April 12, 2011, the entire 1,000th electric vehicle of the CSR Zhuzhou Institute was rolled off the assembly line. As the leader in the core technology field of China's electric vehicles, this figure has become a symbol of its industrialization of energy-saving and new energy vehicles.

In 2001, the state-level research and development platform for the major special project of the national “863 Plan” electric vehicle used by the Zhuzhou Institute for the first time entered the field of electric vehicles. In 2002, Zhuzhou obtained two "863" projects, such as "Fuel Cell Bus Motor and its Control System" and "Multi-Energy Powertrain Control System". At the same time, it participated in the "DC/DC Transformation of Fuel Cell Car" as the main research and development unit. Device" project.

In the following 8 years and more, the Zhuzhou Institute successively undertook 18 national "863" projects, which laid the leading position for Zhuzhou in the core technology field of China's electric vehicles.

On October 17, 2010, the “Key Technology Breakthrough and Industrial Application of Electric Vehicles” project undertaken by CSR Zhuzhou passed the scientific and technological appraisal. The company has mastered the pure electric and series hybrid power for passenger cars and the parallel connection. Hybrid power and other three kinds of power system technologies and vehicle integration technology, in the development of the motor and its control system, energy storage system applications, power system matching and other aspects of the formation of the core technology competitiveness, at the international advanced level.

On October 19, 2007, the first electric car with complete independent intellectual property rights was rolled off the China South Railway Zhuzhou Institute. In the following three years, CSR Zhuzhou completed a total of more than 20 types of vehicle models. The entire vehicle product basically covers a variety of models ranging from 10 to 12 meters, forming parallel, series, hybrid, parallel AMT and Electric vehicle series including pure electric and other system solutions.

As of the end of March, the hybrid bus of the CSR Zhuzhou Institute occupies a 1/7 share of the national energy-saving new energy bus. At present, the accumulated operating mileage of vehicles has reached 58.4 million kilometers (more than 200,000 kilometers with the longest single operating mileage), and the average attendance and fill rates of vehicles have reached 98% and 96%, respectively, which is equivalent to that of conventional vehicles. Tested by a national authoritative organization, the multiple hybrid city buses developed by CSR Zhuzhou in China have a fuel saving rate of over 30% under the conditions of typical cities in China, and the average fuel saving rate of the actual lines is about 20%.
